24-Hour Charity Run for Brain Cancer Research
Mates on a Mission: Moving for Brain Cancer Awareness
Date & Time: 6:00 PM, Friday 13th June – 6:00 PM, Saturday 14th June
Location: Happy Valley Reservoir & Surrounding Trails
Location: Happy Valley Reservoir & Surrounding Trails
Alex and Oscar are running for 24 hours to raise funds and awareness for the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation (NRF). Their journey starts Friday evening with 10km loops around the closed reservoir, continuing on the internal dirt trails once it opens at 7:30 AM Saturday—pushing through to the finish at 6:00 PM.
This isn’t just a physical challenge; it’s deeply personal. Oscar’s brother Jordan and Alex’s dad were both diagnosed with brain cancer—a shared experience that brought the two mates together. Now they’re running for those who can’t, and to support vital brain cancer research.
Everyone is welcome. Run, walk, jog a loop, or just come by to show your support. Donations to NRF are encouraged, and every bit of encouragement helps.
Please remember, this is a community-led run, not an organized race. If you join in, do so with care and awareness of your own limits.
Come be part of something meaningful—every step counts.
