Barmera Brain Tumour Research Update Community Night
An inspiring evening launching a 242 km awareness run
Join us for an evening of insight, inspiration, and community connection as we launch something extraordinary.
This special forum marks the official start of Associate Professor Guillermo Gomez’s (GG) incredible 242-kilometre run from Barmera to Adelaide. Over three days, GG will run one kilometre for every South Australian diagnosed with brain cancer each year — raising critical funds to accelerate research and improve access to life-saving clinical trials.
Why it matters:
Brain cancer remains one of the deadliest and most underfunded cancers in Australia. Your support helps fast-track solutions and bring new treatments closer to home.
